Melina Bisogni
Osteopahic Manual Practitioner and Athletic Therapist
Melina holds a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences along with Athletic Therapy from York University, and has furthered her education with a degree in Manual Osteopathy from the National Academy of Osteopathy. In addition to her academic credentials, she is a certified personal trainer and aquafitness instructor.
Her professional journey has seen her working in diverse environments, ranging from clinical to on-field settings. Melina has an extensive history of collaborating with sports teams, including stints with Ryerson’s volleyball and ice hockey teams, as well as the soccer team at York University.
Her involvement with the Ontario University Athletics and Nationals medic teams on multiple occasions, as well as volunteering for the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL) All Star Games in 2016, and the rehabilitation unit at Humber Hospital, has provided her with a unique and valuable range of experiences. This exposure has enabled Melina to develop a deep understanding and expertise in dealing with various conditions like ACL injuries and repair (both pre and post-surgical care), Meniscal injuries, ankle sprains and strains, plantar fasciitis, and numerous muscle strains and sprains.
Melina is highly skilled in manual therapy and joint mobilizations and possesses a strong passion for creating personalized exercise programs tailored to her clients’ needs, ensuring their optimal and safe progression.
While her experience is vast with athletes and active individuals, Melina is equally enthusiastic about working with people from all different backgrounds, from professional athletes to seniors.
In her leisure time, Melina enjoys playing soccer, swimming, traveling, and cherishing moments with her family and friends. Her broad skill set, combined with her diverse interests, make her a well-rounded professional dedicated to improving the health and well-being of her clients.
